About 79.5 million people have been forced to flee their homes globally. Among these are about 26 million refugees, about 50 percent of whom are under the age of 18 years. These are avoidable disasters if peacebuilding is taken more seriously.
Peacebuilding is an activity that aims to resolve injustice in non-violent ways and help transform the cultural and structural conditions that lead to destructive conflicts.
Peace is at the heart of our mission. Marvelle Foundation believes when people make an effort to create peace in their communities, that change can have a comprehensive effect.
Peacebuilding Can Be Owned by Everyone
We take action that tackles the underlying causes of disagreement, including poverty, bias, ethnic tension, lack of access to education and unsatisfactory distribution of wealth/resources.
We are continuously finding ways to make everyone contribute to the process of peacebuilding so that it is owned by everyone.
